Carlsbad, CA... Global Archives, Inc. announces the addition of co-location services for its Irvine data center.
Global Archives maintains customer and corporate servers at its Irvine Level III data center, a secure and private
location. The center is located in a re-enforced building designed to withstand natural disasters and continue to
operate independently for long periods of time. In addition to powerful high speed switching power units, the site
maintains it own generators in the event of a grid failure. Access to the facility is limited and manned 24 x 7.
The data center currently provides triple redundancy of its customer's data. "I was not comfortable with the thought
that all of the data was in one physical location. As an added measure of safety, we arranged with our data center
provider to provide co-location services in their sister facility in Santa Clara, CA, 500 miles north of the Irvine
facility", says John Ermoian, President of Global Archives.
Ermoian states because of the expense of the co-location data center, the communication lines and support between
Irvine and Santa Clara, the service will be offered as an option. In the event of a failure at the Irvine facility,
the Santa Clara facility will pick up the load. The users may see a nominal interruption of service during the transition
but no loss of data or operational ease.
Global Archives has produced an informational sheet on Security, Privacy, Compliance and Disaster Recovery as well as its
product offerings. They are available in hard copy and on the company's website at
